Sushi chef

Duties - Ensure that culinary standards in the sushi section are consistently maintained, in line with the F&B standards and policies of the hotel - Complete daily tasks required by the operation, following guidelines set by the Executive Chef - Prepare sushi and sashimi as instructed by the Executive Chef, ensuring that guest expectations are exceeded - Maintain appropriate stock levels and assist the Head Chef with ordering supplies - Keep all sushi preparation and sushi bar areas clean and organized at all times - Be flexible and work in different areas of the kitchen as directed by the Executive Chef or Head Chef - Study and learn the cuisine under the guidance of the Executive Chef- Follow recipes closely as outlined in the recipe book - Ensure that MEP is prepared on time and meets the required specifications - Take full responsibility for the sushi section- Assist the Head Chef in training other kitchen staff on sushi and sashimi techniques - Monitor and maintain HACCP systems, including fridge temperatures and cleaning records, in the sushi section daily - Complete all relevant HACCP documentation each day and take proactive action to address any issues related to HACCP proceduresRequirements- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a similar role at a 5-star hotel-A degree in Culinary Arts or a related hospitality qualification is considered an advantage-Excellent command of English; knowledge of Greek or other languages is a plus-Must be quality-driven, with a critical eye for all aspects of the F&B operation to ensure the highest level of creativity and productivity within the organizationBenefits -Competitive compensation package-Provident fund-Employee discounts at hotels & boutiques-Free meals on duties-Employee appreciation program and reward scheme-Excellent work-life balance-Professional development opportunities across countries and properties-Ongoing training opportunities
