Key Responsibilities
● Teach classical ballet technique to a broad range of students (3-18 years old), from beginners up to pre‑professional or professional level
● Prepare students for examinations, performances, competitions, and masterclasses
● Develop class curriculum and lesson plans consistent with the Academy’s standards and the Russian method of ballet training
● Work on student correction, alignment, strength, musicality, expression, and artistry
● Choreograph variations and ensemble work for academy performances
● Mentor students; assess progress and provide feedback to the Director
● Maintain discipline, safety and order in class; ensure a supportive, positive learning environment
● Attend regular staff meetings; collaborate with other faculty in planning performances, repertoire, and curriculum

Qualifications & Skills
● Formal Ballet Training: Graduate level / certificate from a recognized ballet school (Russian tradition preferred)
● Teaching Experience: Minimum [e.g. 2-4] years teaching classical ballet, including working with advanced/pre‑professional students
● Familiarity with Russian methods (e.g., Vaganova or comparable)
● Ability to teach across ages, including young children, teenagers, and advanced students
● Strong understanding of anatomy, alignment, injury prevention, strength and flexibility training
● Skill in choreography and staging
● Excellent communication skills; ability to motivate, inspire, and give constructive feedback
● Professionalism, punctuality, reliability

Desirable
● Previous performance experience with ballet company or solo roles
● Experience preparing students for international competitions and examinations
● Experience teaching partnering (pas de deux), character dance, repertoire and variations
● Knowledge of additional dance styles beneficial (e.g. contemporary, character)
● Fluent in English and Russian; knowledge of Greek helpful but not essential
